Checkmark button  The N5 course is an excellent starting point for your Japanese language learning journey. It provides a solid foundation and helps build motivation as you aim for higher proficiency levels. If you plan to attend a Japanese language school in Japan, fulfilling a 150-hour study requirement of an official Japanese language course is often necessary. This requirement indicates that schools expect you to have basic Japanese language skills, which might be a pre-requisite for your student visa application. Meeting this prerequisite helps ensure that applicants are genuinely interested in learning the language and not just seeking to work in Japan.

Checkmark button Vocabulary: The N5 Exam covers approximately 800 vocabulary words. These words are chosen based on their frequency and relevance in everyday conversations. You will learn essential nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs that will help you understand and communicate in basic Japanese.

Checkmark button Kanji: The course includes 100 kanji characters. These characters are selected for their frequent use in daily conversations. You will learn kanji related to numbers, time and days of the week, family members, and basic actions like reading, writing, and walking. Mastering these kanji will enable you to understand simple written texts and navigate everyday situations in Japan.

Checkmark button Reading: You will be able to read and understand typical expressions and sentences written in hiragana, katakana, and basic kanji. You will become familiar with essential grammar points such as the use of particles (は、が、を, etc.), and basic formal and casual conjugations of verbs and adjectives in both past and present tenses. The course emphasizes the ability to read and write short, simple sentences, preparing you for the reading section of the N5 Exam.

Checkmark button Listening: The listening component of the course trains you to comprehend conversations about topics regularly encountered in daily life and classroom situations. You will learn to pick up necessary information from short conversations spoken slowly and clearly. This includes understanding common phrases, questions, and responses, enabling you to interact effectively in basic social and academic contexts.
